SUMMER NEWSLETTER
Hi everyone it's me again Banjo.
Hello everyone Banjo here,
Sorry it’s been so long but the news letter is going to be quarterly now as everyone is so busy.
I have been on holiday (well mum did) me I went to kennels with Rooney & Fergie and I have to say I didn’t like it one little bit no home comforts there let me tell you.
Where was my big bed, I didn’t have one, no cuddles only those two to cuddle up to at night urgh!
I missed my mum and didn’t eat so I had lost a little weight.
Mum cried when she saw me (milk it boy milk it) so I sulked a little whilst the other two went loopy at seeing every one. Me I played it cool for a couple of days and mum said she wouldn’t send me there again, but where will I go (watch this space).
Those poor dogs that have to stay in kennels waiting for a new home, they must be scared wondering what will happen to them. I am so lucky having a loving home. If you are thinking of getting a new pet please remember all the dogs in pounds desperate for a loving new home.
WWFN (woof woof for now).
Kisses to everyone ..

UPDATE FROM BANJO....
A little extra from me.
August has been a busy month for doggies needing homes and all pretty big dogs, we should be named THE BIG DOG RESCUE.
Did you all see BEAR (great name for him) he is gigantic makes me look like a miniature terrier.
I met him on Lawson’s Field and thought wow what’s this barrelling towards me. Well I thought I was a wuss (that’s what mum calls me sometimes, strange though only when it’s raining urgh!)
Bear should be named Teddy Bear what a big softie just a big bundle of fluff in fact all fluff and no bark.
I hope he gets a really nice home. Mum said she would have him in a heartbeat. DON’T THINK SO MUM!!!! Would be no room on my bed, warm in winter though! Mum wouldn’t .... would she?
Even uncle Chris fell in love with him, mind you so has every one who has met him and I thought I was the cute one.
There must be someone out there who will love Big Bear Please Please before my Mum does.
Maddy update;
Maddy the beautiful Doberman was transferred to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary to get the specialist care that would be needed as we didn’t have the funds that would be needed to care for her.
An initial assessment on arrival wasn’t good and it looked likely that euthanasia was her only option. However a meeting followed with the sanctuary manager Neil and the vets and it was decided she deserved a fighting chance.
Maddy was taken to Liverpool University where she underwent extensive surgery on both legs which took many hours and several operations and involved lots of pins and wires.
The surgery has cost thousands of pounds and Maddy is on her way to a full recovery and to a new home. You can view Maddy’s progress on www.bleakholt.org click on video 2. There is also a Maddy Hotline should you wish to donate soley for Maddy.
Neil and his team have done an amazing job. Maddy has a great future now!
Bungee Jump:
Was a great event especially for the two jumpers who were sponsored by friends and family, sadly not for us though the jump at the Sheffield Arena cost the rescue £99-98 and neither of the jumpers handed in the sponsor money even though it was collected. The £100 wasted could have gone towards vets bills or to have a dog neutered and vaccinated. So thanks for nothing guys.
Poppy
Poppy the little Lhaso Apso who was left out in the cold in January and she had given up the will to live. Nicky gave her a loving home and Poppy responded really well to all the love and care given by Nicky, Declan and Meadow.
Sadly Poppy was taken ill last week and was diagnosed with renal failure, Poppy has now crossed to Rainbow Bridge.
Nicky can take comfort in the fact that she gave Poppy the best eight months of her life and that Poppy new she was loved dearly.
Rest in Peace Little One.
