JANUARY NEWS LETTER
Hi everyone it's me again Banjo.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas, we did! although I was really in the doghouse just before. Mum went out to do some Christmas shopping so we were left indoors, Fergie & Rooney in the kitchen and I get the run of the lounge. We had a lovely Christmas tree and lots of presents under it.
I was a little bored so thought I would investigate the brightly coloured wrapping paper nothing of any real interest there but then I got a whiff of something that smelled really good but it was in a bright blue tin, so I just gave it a gentle tug and out it came I wrestled with it for a while and the lid came off. YIPEE! Cadbury’s roses everywhere, but they all had paper on, that was a chore but off came the wrappers they were gorgeous I did enjoy them.
Mum came in shortly afterwards and I have to say they were new names that she called me and by the tone of her voice she was mad at me! Oops, she couldn’t believe I got the tape off the tin and the wrappers off the sweets, but then she was worried because dogs can’t have chocolate not even at Christmas.
Once she calmed down she thought how clever I was to open the tin and unwrap the sweets. Anyway she forgave me in the end.
It hasn’t been as busy as everyone thought just a trickle of doggies needing new homes so that’s a good thing.
Remember Chance the little Lab x that went to Australia well look at her now upsetting the locals on Australia Day, a pommy through and through.
Fylde Borough Council (Dog Wardens)
Shauna & Nicola are Dog Wardens at Fylde Borough Council and have asked us to let everyone know that Fylde Borough has a none destruction policy for the stray and abandoned dogs. The dogs are taken to Sundown Kennels, Old Mains Lane, Poulton –le-Fylde, where they are cared for by Linda until a suitable home is found. Linda & her staff are very successful at re homing dogs in their care.
Shauna & Nicola want to do everything they can to reduce the amount of strays and abandoned dogs. They will help members of the public to keep their beloved pets in their homes if possible and offer advice on re homing. Please before you do anything contact the Dog Wardens they aren’t ogres who catch and dump dogs in pounds they are caring people who have the dogs best interest at heart and it takes the strain off rescues like ours.
REMEMBER THEY ARE HERE TO HELP!!!!!!!
