UPDATE POPPY

Poppy the little Lhaso Apso. Again another one abandoned and in the most horrific state, God only knows what this little girl had gone through. She had all sorts of problems, we really thought the vet would say he couldn't do anything for her. How wrong we were.
Poppy went to a new family and with TLC she started to rally, she started to eat little & often, Nicky fed her lots of oily fish and it has done the trick, all her bald patches(from stress) are regrowing and she is gaining weight daily she is one happy little dog now and knows she is loved at last. Well done Nicky.

AWAITING UPDATED PICTURES

Holly rescued 24th Dec 2009

HOLLY

Holly was found in a disgusting state, filthy, starved & badly neglected. Holly had given up the will to live and had no trust in humans.
Well take a look at her now!!! Holly is up to full weight, has a beautifully groomed coat but most of all she is loved. Aunty Sue one of our foster mum's took Holly in and fell in love with her. Holly gained a forever home and we lost another foster mum. As long as this little girl is happy and healthy that's all that matters.
HOLLY FEBRUARY 5th 2009.

Jack's Story.

This is one of the saddest stories I have had to tell and it broke our hearts.
A call from the pound on the 16th February, again two dogs due to be PTS Molly the Border Collie ( currently in foster with Lindsay) and Jack as I named him the cutest little Jack Russell and one of the happiest I have met.
Jack was carried out from the kennels and when he was put on the ground he couldn't walk straight, his little legs were twisted; the little guy tried and managed to walk even run a little.
Of course I couldn't let him be PTS certainly not without giving him a fighting chance. So Jack went to stay with Nikki one of our dedicated fosterers, he was quite happy to be there. Nikki put him in a large crate that night, but Jack had trouble lying down obviously because of his legs, poor Nikki had a terrible night and the little guy was obviously in pain.
Next morning we took Jack to the vets, he was horrified when he saw his little legs. (Jack was still wagging his tail madly) The diagnosis wasn't good it seems Jack had been hit by a car sometime ago and had never received any care or treatment for his badly broken legs, he had just been left. So of course we couldn't let him suffer a minute longer so we made the dreaded decision. This little guy was about ten months old, my heart breaks when I think of what he went through in his short life.
I have written a poem for Jack and I will never forget this little guy.
Jack is the first one we have lost, We know he probably won't be last , we will never get used to it. Our only consolation is that Jack was muched loved in those last two days of his all too short life.
God Bless Little Man.

Website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are getting our own website (and here it is.. he he he....) I have to say an enormous big THANK YOU to Chris who is building the website for free and it is time consuming. So again Chris thank you.
All the dogs in foster and dogs for adoption will be on the site, appeals, events everything will be on there. I will of course still send out newsletters for those who haven't got a computer.

Thankyou for your continued support.
